Going Home

Tomorrow is my last day in Los Angeles for now. The whole "pilot" chapter in my life is over. Tomorrow I go home, back to New York, and wait to find out what the next thing will be. Either I will have my own show on Prime Time Television, or I'll be looking for work. I'm sure there's a whole bunch of other possibilities I'm not aware of. Like... oh I don't know. I'm too tired right nwo to think of anything clever or random like "Maybe I"ll eat a goldfish and fall off a... gay... dinosaur. I wonder if there were any gay dinosaurs. I guess they would have called them "Dinothaurs!" ha ha! Holy shit that's stupid. I'm sorry this weblog entry is so shitty. I'm not feeling very creative or interesting.

So tomorrow I begin the journey back to New York. I'm driving my dog across the country for the fourth time. This time Im actually looking forward to it. There's something about actually crossing the country when you go home that makes you appreciate how huge the country is and bla bla bla, jesus christ, I have to be the most boring person alive. As if I have anything original to say about crossing the country after John Steinbeck wrote travels with Charley, Kerouack wrote Dharma bums, etc. Why don't I just shut the fuck up?

Okay, that's about it. What I will try to do is write an entry as often as possible from the road. Perhaps the dog and I will have some interesting road stories to tell you.

Oh, by the way, here is a great picture of me with Lehman Brewster, the new Heavyweight champion of the world!!

This fellow fought an incredible fight against a huge bastard name Klitcho or something. All the pundits were saying, throughout the fight, that Klitchco was winning the fight and they didn't know how long Brewster could take the beating. All the while, Brewster was stradegizing, finding inroads, waiting for his chance and then, out of nowhere, Brewster just beat the shit out of the guy. By the end of the round, the guy was staggering around like a Warner Brothers cartoon, with birdies flying around his head. It was phenomenal. I got to meet him at our office at Warner Brothers. he told me that the reason he won is that fighters like Klitchco are athletes. he can win in the Olympics because it's three rounds. He pointed to his arm and says "Guys like that fight from here." And pointed to his heart and says "guys like me fight from here. He could never beat me." The fight was inspirational and so was meeting Lehman.

That's all for now, my friends...
